Weekly Update

Good afternoon,

Incarnation-truth overload? Impossible! Are our minds stretched beyond a full comprehension of what God has done in sending His Son to bear our deserved condemnation? Perhaps eternally so. What was preached from John 1 this past Sunday and from Colossians/Luke on Christmas Eve night were stirring and God-honoring treatments of the eternal Word Himself, in whom the fullness of deity dwells bodily, Jesus Christ our Lord.

We indeed beheld Him full of glory, grace, and truth.

This coming Sunday, before we start our expository journey through the book of James together...

...we'll consider the gospel from the book of Isaiah. It truly is a feast of God's peace, both promised and delivered.
Do recall two details for this coming Sunday, January 1st: No Bible Study Group/Sunday School, and, there WILL BE childcare during this worship service.
On Wednesday, January 4th (one week from tomorrow), we'll begin our new STINT study together called Practicing Affirmation by Sam Crabtree.

It's one of my favorites on relationships and I'm convinced you'll be challenged and helped by this book. Amazon tells me that we'll have fresh copies near the end of this week. Maybe they'll deliver on their promise :).
Speaking of Wednesdays, one last reminder: No Wednesday night meal or studies/activities of any kind tomorrow.
Have a good week, brothers and sisters. Let's remember to pray for Matt Gentry and his surgery happening this Thursday. Keep walking in the truth. Guard the good deposit. Love one another.
Happy New Year!
-Chris
