Weekly Update 02/23/2021

Greetings!

What a week! It has been many years since we’ve been housebound due to snow and ice but we survived quite well. We were just a day away from the parking lot at church being clear enough to meet last Sunday. Now it’s clear! So, we look forward to catching up where we left off in the book of Acts (6:1–7) and worshiping together.

Tomorrow night at 6:30, our ongoing study in Gentle & Lowly will take place for our ladies, working through chapters 22–23. We’re finishing up this amazing book that has fed and encouraged us throughout.

We look forward to a new Wednesday night, 6:30, STINT study, using Sinclair Ferguson’s Devoted to God: Blueprints for Sanctification. This study begins on March 10th. We will have some copies on the bookrack if you’d like to pick one up. The good thing about this STINT class is that it works through a series of critical texts that help us to understand what it means to walk with the Lord and grow in grace. We’ll be asking you to read these texts and think through them in preparation for the classes. We’ll continue alternating between ladies and men/teenagers. If you want to order a copy of this book on your own, here are a couple of links: From Amazon, https://tinyurl.com/y8sgwclv, and from Westminster Bookstore https://tinyurl.com/ya98enaa.

This Sunday evening at 6:00, we’ll have our third Sunday night service in 2021. Our team will be leading the service as we continue digging into the OT prophetic book of Habakkuk. Pray for our pastoral mentoring team as they serve the body during this time.

I look forward to seeing you this weekend as we worship together.
